Market Common Restaurant Week gets off to a ‘Great StART’

Posted 9/10/2012 1:11:00 PM

Sept. 13 kicks off Market Common Restaurant Week in Myrtle Beach. Restaurants in the complex will present fixed-price menus that showcase the best of their cuisine.

To get the week started, The Market Common will host a fundraising event called Great StARTs, which will benefit the Franklin G. Burroughs and Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. For $10 per ticket, guests can sample products, food and drink from fabulous venues like Travinia Italian Kitchen, Devo Olive Oil, Anthropologie, and Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar.

The proceeds will help the art museum, which is known for its unique presentations such as Kimono: Art, Fashion, and Society, up through Sept. 25. The museum is widely known for the engaging programming that educates and inspires. One such program was the Japanese tea ceremony presentation provided for visitors this summer. The program sold out with blinding speed.

Tickets to Great StARTs are limited to 250 and are available via phone at (843) 238-2510 or at Myrtle Beach Piggly Wiggly stores.
