Cook Certified South Carolina for the holidays

Are you looking for something different to serve for a holiday get-together? Or maybe you’re just needing a little help getting into the Christmas spirit?

The S.C. Department of Agriculture posted a special recipe each day from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7. All the dishes feature Certified South Carolina Grown produce and products.

The first recipe is a thick cut pork chop with a blackberry spice and sage red wine sauce, made with Sallie’s Greatest Blackberry Spice + Sage Jam. Sallie Porth makes her herbal fruit jams in Cameron, and they were among Oprah’s Favorite Things for 2012.
