A group of the nation’s best chefs are heading to
Kiawah Island
Feb. 8-10 for the fifth annual
Gourmet & Grapes Weekend
, a festival that raises money for cancer research at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
The festival takes place at the
Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
.
At the Wine Odyssey Gala on Saturday evening, diners will get to meet chefs from across the Southeast and sample their foods. Among the South Carolina chefs participating are: from

Gourmet & Grapes opens Friday night with a reception and dinner prepared by Executive Chef Justin Bogle, formerly of Gilt at The New York Palace, paired with wines of Lionello Marchesi from Tuscany. Other events include a Saturday luncheon featuring Executive Chef Scott Crawford of The Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, N.C., paired with Jordan Winery; a Saturday afternoon wine seminar; and a Sunday brunch.
Gourmet & Grapes tickets
are available for the entire weekend or individual events.
