American Roadside Burgers recently opened in
Columbia and plans to open another location in
Greenville in the spring.
In
Greenville, the company is building on the corner of East McBee Avenue and South Irvine Street downtown. An old service station has been demolished for the company’s first freestanding restaurant to be built on the site.
The
Columbia American Roadside opened in January in
Cross Hill Market, a new shopping center on Fort Jackson Boulevard near Devine Street that also is home to
Charleston Cooks and
Whole Foods.
The company says American Roadside is “a tribute to the American roadside burger stands of the past.” The menu includes burgers, turkey and veggie burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, wings, salads, ice cream and milk shakes. Wine and beer also are sold.
