Remember when Cake Boss Buddy Valastro brought a giant flip-flop cake to Myrtle Beach?

The episode showing the making of the cake is tentatively scheduled to air at 9 p.m. Oct. 25 on TLC.

Valastro’s May 15 appearance was to help the city celebrate its new oceanfront boardwalk.

Crowds turned out to see the popular baker of the family-owned Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, N.J. He was very gracious, posing for photos for a long time. He knelt down to pose with small children and even held some babies.

The Cake Boss made the big flip-flop from about 250 sheet cakes and measured 10 feet by 3 feet. It was assembled in his bakery and then brought by van to Myrtle Beach.
