Hilton Head Island Chef Robert Irvine
is into his second season as co-host of “Worst Cooks in America.”
Irvine, who is on the Food Network show with Chef Anne Burrell, owns eat!
in The Village at Wexford.
On “Worst Cooks in America,” 16 hopeless cooks are divided into two teams, each led by one of the co-hosts who try to turn them into culinary masters over eight weeks. Each week, the worst cook on each team is eliminated until the two remaining contestants face each other to prepare a meal for a panel of judges.
Irvine also is host of “Dinner: Impossible” and “Restaurant: Impossible.” So while he spends a great deal of his time traveling, he said in an interview last summer that he spends most of his time off the road in his restaurant. He also teaches cooking lessons there.
He visited Hilton Head Island
about three years ago and fell in love with it. A few months later, he and his family moved there and he soon opened eat!
