Doubleheader: Golf’s Haney, tennis’ Lendl conduct exhibition at Hilton Head

Hank Haney is renowned worldwide as the former teacher of the biggest name in golf: Tiger Woods. Ivan Lendl at one time was the Tiger Woods of tennis – the No. 1 ranked player in the world.
On Oct. 13 at the Country Club of Hilton Head
, Haney and Lendl will conduct a unique golf-tennis exhibition to help raise funds for the Junior Champions Foundation, a first-year organization which provides charitable opportunities for young athletes. This will be their first appearance together in South Carolina.
The exhibitions begin at 4 p.m. at the club’s driving range and tennis courts, followed by a private cocktail reception featuring both men at 6 p.m. During the reception, silent and live auctions will be conducted with golf and tennis, equipment and private lessons with Haney and Lendl available for bids.
Haney has become a Hilton Head
regular since taking over the island’s International Junior Golf Academy. Lendl also has become a coach, working with U.S. Open champion and Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray. During the exhibitions, both will speak, share stories and discuss how they work with young athletes.
