Sharing the game: Hidden Valley offers parent-child evenings of golf

Posted 6/18/2013 11:24:00 AM

There’s nothing quite like a late-afternoon summer day on the golf course, especially when you can share the experience with your son or daughter. Starting June 22, Hidden Valley Golf Club is offering weekly opportunities to do just that – and enjoy a little family competition, too.

Each Saturday from June 22 through Aug. 3, the Swansea-area club will play host to its “Adult-Child Par 3 Summer Series.” For $20, a parent and child will form a two-person captain’s choice team (cost includes range balls and golf fees).

The outing will be a par-3 competition with nine holes, featuring tees in the fairways on par-4 and par-5 holes set at various distances. Each Saturday’s event will begin with 5:30 p.m. registration and 6 p.m. start of play.

Hidden Valley is located at 147 Excalibur Court in Gaston, just off U.S. 321. For more information, call the club at (803) 794-8087.
