GOLF 18 Network: Website offers bargain deals on S.C., national golf

One of the great things about modern technology – for golfers, at least – is the opportunity to find and book tee times at courses around the country, and the world, from the comfort of your home computer. South Carolina is no exception, especially those interested in doing so on short notice, often for rock-bottom prices.

One such site that recently popped up on the radar is GOLF 18 Network, which in a recent email listed Grand Strand courses with prices as low as $19.20. That was the price quoted for 18 holes ($11 for nine holes) after 2 p.m. at Wedgefield Plantation Golf Course, a slightly-off-the-beaten-path layout in Georgetown and reviewed here previously.

As with many such websites, GOLF 18 Network offers not just courses and prices, but also such pertinent information as each course’s address, a review of the course and a selection of both dates and specific tee times. Players can select dates, times and number of players on the site, and then reserve tee times with a mouse click.

Courses in Myrtle Beach on GOLF 18 Network include Beachwood, Island Green, Whispering Pines, Valley at Eastport GC, The International Club and Tupelo Bay executive course. GOLF 18 Network also offers courses in Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Greenville, and Hilton Head – in all, 54 South Carolina courses with savings of up to 64 percent, according to the website.
