Camp with a ranger at Table Rock State Park

Posted 3/28/2013 7:12:00 PM

It’s the perfect weather to go camping in the mountains. Need a bit more incentive to get packing? How about your own personal camp director to plan all your outdoor activities?

This fantasy camping experience is being brought to you by Table Rock State Park. The inaugural “Camping with a Ranger” weekend takes place April 5-7 at the Upstate park and will include lots of fun activities from campfire programs to hiking and kayaking.

A park ranger will be leading the troops, so all you have to do is follow along. Just bring food, drinks, supplies and camping gear for two nights of camping. You’ll also need a water bottle for the guided hike.

Check in begins at 2 p.m. Friday at the White Oak campground. The program ends at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Registration deadline is April 1, so don’t delay in signing up for this fun family event. Cost is $40 for a campsite. Call the park at (864) 878-9813 to register.
