Abingdon Manor Inn and Restaurant in Latta is one of the top 10 culinary inns in the world, according to BedandBreakfast.com.

“Spend the afternoon in the intimate cooking classes learning and preparing food while sampling wine from their expansive cellar,” the bed and breakfast directory wrote.

“In addition to learning how to craft what's on the menu, get tips and techniques useful for all cooking. The fruits of your labor are served in your delectable six-course dinner.”

The inn also just received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award, which honors hospitality excellence and is only given to establishments that consistantly receive outstanding ratings on the travel website.

Chef Patty Griffey offers a prix fixe, six course meal daily and wine dinners that focus on the cuisines of different regions of the world.

Michael and Patty Griffey bought the inn in 1995 with plans to operate it as a luxury inn and restaurant. The home was built in 1857 by James H. Manning, and it remained in the Manning family until 1970. It was then a bridal shop for 20 years until a couple opened it as a bed and breakfast called the Manning House in 1994.

The property is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Inn is listed by AAA as a "Classic Country Inn" and has received the prestigious Four Diamond rating for 15 consecutive years.

On the Abingdon Manor website, you can find a huge collection of recipes from Chef Griffey.
