Winner of the 1999 SC Governor's Cup, Ripley's continues to entertain guests with some of the world's most beautiful, fascinating and dangerous aquatic life. The 87,000-square-foot facility is home to thousands of colorful and beautiful fish. Traveling through the 750,000 gallon Dangerous Reef tunnel on a moving glide path, visitors are surrounded on all sides by sharks up to 10 feet long. Other aquarium features are the Discovery Center - an interactive area with a horseshoe crab touch tank; Ray Bay and Friendship Flats, inhabited by a variety of stingrays and small sharks and Rainbow Rock, a stunning display of thousands of brilliantly colored tropical Indo-Pacific fish. Educational presentations and dive shows are scheduled throughout the day.
New for 2012, "Dinosaurs - When Giants Ruled" features life-size fully animatronic animals and several hands-on activities. This exhibit is only here until Oct. 1st so come see it before it is gone!
