Calhoun CountyCameron

Just below the fall line in Calhoun County and near the Congaree River is the town of Cameron. For years travelers along U.S. 176 called it “that pretty little town” between Columbia and Charleston, and that had become the town’s motto. Several large farms with historic homes are located within a few miles of the town limit including the Ulmer-Summers House (1750-1799) listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
