Paddling on the Edisto River

The Edisto River changes season to season, and often week to week. Rainfall changes water levels and flow. Different sections of the river also have different landscapes. You can take one or more of these four- to five-hour float-trips to see the beauty of the Edisto River. These programs are open to all paddling skill levels. American Canoe Association certified guides with the Edisto River Canoe and Kayak Association will provide safety equipment, instruction and a naturalist's eye to make these open floats safe and enjoyable experiences. Canoes and all necessary equipment will be provided. Kayak availability is limited, so call early if you prefer a kayak. Advanced registration is mandatory. Scheduled Open Paddling Trips: May 17 - Green Pond to Colleton State Park July 19 - Colleton State Park to Stokes Bridge August 16 - Stokes Bridge to Mas Old Field Landing For more information, visit www.edistoriver.org
