Take a guided trip around some of the most scenic waterfalls that the Blue Ridge Escarpment has to offer! You won't have to search for these special sites on your own: we'll take care of that for you! Devils Fork will host this weekend event that starts with Friday night check-in to your lakeside villa. Saturday we will visit several waterfalls and upstate landmarks including Stumphouse Tunnel and the historic Walhalla fish hatchery, established in the 1930s. We'll stop in the historic mountain town of Walhalla for lunch and a little shopping. Lunch will be on your own. We'll continue the waterfall excursion after lunch and get back to Devils Fork by late afternoon. We'll wrap the weekend up on Sunday morning with a trip to Oconee Station State Historic Site and Station Cove Falls before heading back to Devils Fork to check-out of your villa. Don't miss this great opportunity to see some of the nicest sites in the Blue Ridge Escarpment.

Details

  • Registration Deadline : Wednesday, January 23. The park reserves the right cancel the waterfall excursion if a minimum number of participants are not met. We will notify participants in this event and refund registration fees if desired. Participants can still keep their villa reservation for the special event rate for the weekend if so desired.
  • Meeting Place : Park Office
  • What to Bring : The event will include continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. All other meals are the responsibility of each participant. Please be prepared for inclement weather as we will go rain or shine. Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes as we will hike up to 3.5 mile round trip for some viewing opportunities. We recommend bringing a camera to capture your special memories and pictures with new friends.
  • Park Event
  • Event Hours : Check-in on Friday between 4-5pm. If you will be checking in after 5pm, please call the park to make special arrangements. Saturday - breakfast from 7-8am. Depart Devils Fork at 8:30am, return late afternoon. Sunday - breakfast 7-8am, depart for Oconee Station SHS at 8:30am and return for check-out by noon.
