Description

Visit Andrew Jackson State Park to learn about the herbs and other plants grown in the kitchen gardens of the 18th Century Carolina Backcountry. The program will be led by Suzanne S. Simmons, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, is the Director of the 18th Century Backcountry Lifeways Studies Program at the Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia, North Carolina. The program will take place in the park’s Meeting House at 3 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Lancaster Garden Club, a member of the Garden Club of South Carolina and the Lancaster Council of Garden Clubs, and Andrew Jackson State Park.
