Housed in the 1892 Tobacco Factory, the museum features Oconee County artifacts from prehistory to present. Of special interest is an 18th-century dugout canoe, currently being preserved. Other exhibits include a walk-in Stumphouse Tunnel and a Depression-era tenant farmer's house. All exhibits showcase the history of Oconee County, SC. The center also offers educational programs and rental space for meetings or events. The Oconee Heritage Center is also featured on the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail.
