Spartanburg Music Trail

The Spartanburg Music Trail honors 18 locals who have made a national or international impact in the world of music.

While Spartanburg has made many contributions to the wider world, nothing rivals the area of music. The Spartanburg Music Trail, which is be comprised of signage throughout downtown—as well as accompanying cell phone-audio tour—cements Spartanburg’s legacy as a place that launches musical careers in both popular and classical styles. It establishes this corner of the state as a birthplace of Ameri...can roots music—in particular, blues, jazz, country, gospel and bluegrass.

The first 18 signs are along a six-block area stretching from the new RJ Rockers microbrewery, up Main through Morgan Square and north on Liberty Street, to the Chapman Center.
