Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival

From folk tales to ghost tales, enjoy some of the best national and local storytellers as they inspire, amuse and delight audiences with stories that reminisce about childhood, tickle your funny bone and transport you to another place and time. Similar to a Prairie Home Companion show or being entertained by a great comedian, Charleston Tells’ audiences will enjoy great performances as they celebrate the art and historic importance of storytelling.

Charleston Tells promises a fun-filled weekend for adults of all ages, with events Friday and Saturday nights plus performances all day Saturday.

Don’t miss national tellers Syd Lieberman, Barbara McBride?Smith, Ed Stivender and Donna Washington. Featured local tellers include Sharon Cooper-Murray, Julian Gooding, Hawk Hurst, Minerva King, Tim Lowry and puppeteer Becky Becker from Becky’s Box of Puppets.
br> Sponsored by Charleston County Public Library.
