SC Tour de Cure

The American Diabetes Association’s cycling fundraiser 2014 SC Tour de Cure is less than seven weeks away. The Tour is seeking teams, individual riders, volunteers, and company sponsors for this beautiful historic venue and springtime event. The ride is at the historic Robert Mills House and Hampton-Preston Mansion on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

The Tour de Cure raises money to fight diabetes and raise community awareness of this disease affecting over 26 million Americans. The rides are for anyone from the beginner or occasional rider to the experienced cyclist.

Designed for families and casual riders, the 5-mile Historic City of Columbia Family Fun Ride presented by Regions Bank is a guided tour of Columbia led by Mayor Steve Benjamin from the historic houses to the state capital through USC and along some of the the city's greenways. We will have stationary bikes as well provided by C Cycle Studio at the start line as a participation option.

The 15, 30, 65, and 100 mile distance rides feature dedicated lanes with full mobile support and rest stops from downtown, past the University of South Carolina Williams-Brice stadium to Congaree National Park and back through the countryside.
