Roper Mountain Science Center

Roper Mountain Science Center provides hands-on learning labs for school children across South Carolina. The center sits on 62 acres with classrooms/labs, a living history farm, nature trails, a planetarium and observatory, life science labs, and a rainforest. Year-round public programs at the center are limited to the Friday "Starry Nights" program and the Second Saturday public day. Summer Explorations programs in June, July and August are also open to the public. See website for show dates and times. The nature trails, arboretum and butterfly garden are available to the public any time the main gate is open Monday through Friday 8:30am until 5pm.
