WHO - Will Muschamp, head football coach at South Carolina since 2016 and former head coach at Florida, in his first season led the Gamecocks to a 6-6 regular season, including an upset of Tennessee, and a bowl bid. His 2017 team won four of its first six games, wins over SEC foes Missouri and Arkansas.
HIS FAVORITE SC DISH - "The best thing I ever had in South Carolina is the bone-in rib-eye steak at Halls Chop House in Charleston."
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL - "It has a phenomenal taste, and I love the atmosphere at Halls. Those guys do a fantastic job, and I obviously love their rib-eye. I've been to their restaurant in Greenville, too, but I like the one in Charleston a little better."
WHAT THE CHEF SAYS - Executive Chef Adam Jakins: "We keep it simple: coarse brown pepper, kosher salt and a little butter, broiled in a 1,600-degree broiler. We get the best beef in America from Allen Brothers, and that helps create a steak that is going to melt in your mouth."
