The city of Clinton, located in Laurens County, is centrally located to Columbia, Greenville and Spartanburg and just minutes from Interstates 385 and 26.The town developed from a railroad intersection known as the Five Points. Near the turn of the 20th century textile manufacturing became an important part of the economy for many years. Today, Clinton’s small-town charm showcases beautiful architecture; shopping and dining in the downtown area; the Clinton Museum, open on Sundays; and Presbyterian College.
Nearby is Musgrove Mill State Historic Site, which protects a portion of the Revolutionary War battlefield and scenic Horseshoe Falls on the Enoree River. The site host reenactments and living history programs, and includes a museum with exhibits that tell the story of the battle and its pivotal role in the Revolutionary War.
