City of Westminster

Established in the 1890's, the City of Westminster is located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in western Oconee County. The town was born from a water stop for the railroad. Today, Westminster boasts more than one hundred homes unique to the late 1800's and turn-of-the-century. Old Main Street, with its unique shops and hometown atmosphere, has benefited from an influx of private investment that restored most of its buildings, which have drawn shoppers and tourists.
