Town of Pelion

Pelion is situated in southern Lexington County approximately 17 miles from the city of Lexington and 22 miles from Columbia, the capital city. This quiet community has produced and harvested peanuts for years. It has long been a tradition for the townspeople to gather for the annual boiling of the peanuts. Pelion celebrates the Pelion Peanut Party every August.

For more information about the region, make sure to check out the Capital City and Lake Murray Country Visitor Center at www.LakeMurrayCountry.com!
