Town of Boykin

Historic Boykin is an off-the-beaten path of a gem which sits a few miles south of Camden in the Midlands. At the 19th-century Boykin Mill Pond agricultural community, visit a restored working grist mill, watch as brooms are handmade on 100-year-old original equipment and enjoy a meal in an upscale restaurant. It is home to the last Civil War battle in South Carolina, fought in April 1865. A monument in memory of all soldiers who fought in the battle stands on S.C. 261.
