Historic Boykin is an off-the-beaten path of a gem which sits a few miles south of Camden in the Midlands. At the 19th-century Boykin Mill Pond agricultural community, visit a restored working grist mill, watch as brooms are handmade on 100-year-old original equipment and enjoy a meal in an upscale restaurant. It is home to the last Civil War battle in South Carolina, fought in April 1865. A monument in memory of all soldiers who fought in the battle stands on S.C. 261.

Located 10 miles south of Camden and I-20 on SC Hwy 261. From I-20,take Exit 98 and drive south on Hwy. 521 for 2.3 miles. Take a slight right on to Hwy 261. Stay on Hwy 261 east for 5.2 miles.
