Olde English District

Olde English District

The Battle of Mobley's Meetinghouse occurred in northwest Fairfield County, near Little River, in early summer of 1780. A small band of Whig militia under Generals McClure, Richard Winn, William Bratton, Lacey and Neal attacked and dispersed a gathering of local Tory militia. Morning drills, encampment, and a re-enactment will bring this event to life.
