Oconee History Museum

Housed in the 1892 Tobacco Factory, the museum features Oconee County artifacts and interpretive exhibits detailing the heritage of the area from prehistory to present. Of special interest is a preserved 18th-century dugout canoe. Other exhibits include a walk-in Stumphouse Tunnel and a Depression-era tenant farmer's house. All exhibits showcase the history of Oconee County, SC. The museum also offers educational programs for children and adults. Rental space for meetings or special events is also available. Oconee History Museum is also featured on the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail.
