On August 30, 1781 General Francis Marion and a force of four hundred Patriots battled five hundred and forty British at the Battle of Parkers Ferry, forcing them to withdraw to Charleston. This weekend event, held at Bluefield Plantation, will include a re-enactment of the battle, educational programs, troop movements, and musket firings by the individual units.

Info & Amenities
Held at Bluefield Plantation in Jacksonboro. From Charleston: Turn off Hwy 17S onto Hwy 64W, go 1½ mi., turn rt at the Jacksonboro Baptist Church. Go 1 mi. and Battlefield will be on the rt.
I-95N: exit 53, take Hwy 15-S for approx. 5 mi. turn rt. on Hwy 63 which turns into 64. Continue for 12 mi and turn left onto Tuten Rd (Jacksonboro Baptist Church). Go 1 mi and Battefield will be on the rt.

I-95 S:Exit 57 turn left onto Bells Hwy. Go 1½ mi. turn left (Reid's Groc) at light onto Robertson Blvd. Follow to end, turn left onto Hwy 64. Travel 11 mi. turn left onto Tuten Rd. Battlefield will be 1 mi. on the rt.
