Announcing the 60th annual & historic Hillbilly Day in Mountain Rest, SC -- July 4th, rain-or-shine, from 9am - 3pm. GPS address 125 Verner Mill Road, Mountain Rest. Free parking & admissions. Bring your lawn chairs to set up under the large, covered pavilion. Our Bluegrass Stage features rotating live bands playing & singing that beloved mountain music. For sale: BBQ plates, hot dogs, ice cream, baked goods, snow cones, boiled peanuts and more. The 9am-3pm event includes: clogging, hillbilly costume contest, skills demonstrations, craft booths, country store, quilt raffle, horse-drawn-wagon, children's games like the egg-toss, sack race, greased pole climb, greased pig chase & petting zoo.
