Duke Energy's World of Energy at Oconee Nuclear Station

Located on beautiful Lake Keowee beside Oconee Nuclear Station, Duke Energy's World of Energy is an education center with self-guided exhibits that teach visitors of all ages how electricity is made. Guests also can explore interactive games, a topographical map of the Keowee-Toxaway Project, a short nature trail, a butterfly garden and a picnic area with a view of Lake Keowee. Admission to the facility is free. The World of Energy is open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Special events are held throughout the year; be sure to check our website often for details!
