Nearly 9,200 square feet of furniture, clothing, pottery, pictures, flags, artifacts and other items relating to Union County. Items on display include: Civil War exhibits, two of the three regimental battle flags from Union County during the Civil War, the table upon which South Carolina's Secession Ordinance was drawn up and signed, components from the 1823 Robert Mills designed jail, Pre-Revolutionary plat maps and deeds and the silver coffee service used to serve Jefferson Davis and his cabinet in 1865.
While in Union, also visit The Cross Keys Plantation, an 1814 Colonial house with 25 acres of historic display including barn, kitchen, cabin, and tool shed, located at 163 Old Buncombe Road on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
