Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Legacy Festival

The annual Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Birthday Celebration and Parade will be held each July at the Mayesville Town Square. This year's theme is "Empowering Community Building Through History, Art, Education, Music and Sports". There will be games, rides, crafts, activities, music and food. Featured events include the Legacy Parade, Battle of the Bands, a Gospel Choir Competition, a play about the young Dr. Bethune, celebrity walk-a-thon, the opening of the Dr. Bethune Art Gallery, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and a car and bike show.
