Piedmont Pottery Festival

Celebrate the South’s rich pottery heritage while shopping for works created by more than 25 of the best traditional potters from the Carolinas, Georgia and the Catawba Nation; enjoy pottery making demonstrations, hands-on children’s activities, and talks by noted pottery historians. Bring your own pottery for identification by experts. Outstanding regional barbecue will be available for purchase. This year’s presenters are Dr. Terry Zug, author of “Turners & Burners: The Folk Potters of North Carolina,” and Leonard Todd, author of “Carolina Clay: The Life and Legend of Slave Potter Dave. “

This event will be held simultaneously at the Museum of York County, 4621 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill. Discover the region's contemporary and utilitarian potter as you shop potters from the Carolinas.
