Lizard's Thicket. The name is strange, but the food is down right delicious, to say the least. Lizard’s Thicket, a family owned and operated country cooking restaurant dedicated and specializing in authentic regional southern home cooking (at reasonable prices), was first opened in Columbia, South Carolina in 1977. The original Lizard’s Thicket was a five room house converted into a restaurant with three small dining rooms and a small kitchen. Today there are
14 locations thoughout the Midlands.
Lizard's Thicket serves breakfast, lunch and supper. The meat and three restaurant offers daily meats specials consisting of turkey and dressing, chicken and dumpling, fried chicken livers, meat loaf, pulled pork liver and onions, grilled boneless chicken breast and barbeque chicken. Complement every meal with fresh vegetables and cornbread or rolls.
