Weldon Auditorium has been creating memories in Clarendon County since 1954. Formerly known as the old Manning High School, its stage has served as home to graduations, beauty pageants, talent shows, band concerts, school assemblies and community events for generations of Clarendon County citizens. Tragically, the old Manning High School burned in 1984, yet Weldon continued to provide a location for various productions despite deteriorating conditions. In 2004, plans were set in motion to fund a Clarendon County Complex that would include the complete renovation of this beloved auditorium. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held for the newly renovated Weldon Auditorium on July 30, 2008, and the Auditorium's completion was celebrated with a gala on December 3, 2010. The interior design of Weldon is reflected in the style, form, and colors of the 1950s. The more than 3,000 square-foot Grand Atrium Lobby welcomes patrons and visitors into its historic walls. Programs are diverse, so join us at Weldon for some great entertainment. While here, enjoy a stroll through the Loggia, which serves as home to Clarendon County's Sports Hall of Fame or browse through our Art Gallery. Located in the beautiful historic section of Manning, SC, Weldon Auditorium is truly where Clarendon gathers.
