4th Annual South Carolina State Parks Archaeology Conference

Do you have an interest in South Carolina history or archaeology? If so, this event is a great discovery! You'll enjoy a day of presentations on current archaeological projects and historic preservation efforts at public sites in South Carolina. This year's theme explores the African Diaspora in South Carolina. Professional archaeologists and preservationists will present papers on projects that involve public participation. Topics will move beyond archaeology and include historic investigations, oral history projects, folklife studies, cultural landscape assessment and preservation, and anthropological fieldwork. Whether you are a professional archaeologist, an involved volunteer, or just have an interest in South Carolina's history, there will be plenty for you to enjoy.

Please contact David Jones at (803) 734-1521 or djones@scprt.com for more information.
