Myrtle Beach & The Grand Strand

North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum shares the history of the northeast corner of South Carolina. Exhibits chronicle events from the community's past and open windows into its future. The museum offers opportunities to learn South Carolina's state dance, the Shag, to play a 1968 jukebox and to discover how concrete cones are 'growing' the Jim Caudle reef. Changing exhibits focus on art, photography, and science. Museum programs investigate historic, scientific and economic topics related to the region.
