Olde English District

Olde English District

Come for a unique and relaxing tour of historic Camden. A team of magnificent horses will take you along streets shaded by beautiful, old oak trees. Your guide will share the history and local lore of historic homes, including the impressive Bloomsbury Inn built by Colonel James Chestnut, father-in-law of renowned Mary Boykin Chestnut. Hear the local lore including stories of the Confederate drums sometimes heard during the night in Rectory Square. You'll see beautiful examples of the architecture of the time such as "floating railing" and "double stairway."

Tours are done by appointment and last approximately 80 minutes. Prices for historic tours are based on the preferred carriage. We have a carriage for small and large groups, just choose which one is best suited for you!
