African American Cultural Center of Camden

Olde English District

Olde English District

The Center highlights the history of Camden's (SC) African American community. We are part of the Camden Archives and Museum, a department of the City of Camden. Our rotating exhibits focus on the experiences of Kershaw County's African American population. They have included the stories of baseball Hall of Famer Larry Doby and the impact of World War I on Kershaw County's black community. Join us as we explore more of the history of our people.
