The African American Cultural Center highlights the rich history of the African American community of Camden and surrounding areas. The Cultural Center, under the auspices of the Camden Archives and Museum, displays temporary exhibits of African American history. These exhibits change every six months. The Cultural Center also hosts community forums on topics related to the African American community under the series name “Let’s Talk About…”. The “Let’s Talk About…” series has had forum discussions on the following topics within the African American culture: the arts (past and present), genealogy research and the civil rights movement. The African American Cultural Center is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1pm to 4:30pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

I-20, Exit 98, north on Hwy 521 / Broad Street for approximately 2 miles. Turn right on York. The center is on the right at 517 York Street.
