The Goal of the Heritage Trail Pottery Tour is to promote the culture and craft of pottery in the Freshwater Coast Region of the South Carolina Heritage Corridor. The Pottery Tour will allow attendees the opportunity to visit working clay studios, see demonstrations of methods used to produce handmade pottery wares, experience working with the medium in various studios, purchase handmade pottery, and tour the geographic area of the Freshwater Coast Region. The goal/mission of Greenwood Area Studio Potters is to provide networking and professional development for potters and clay artists, to provide community service that supports the mission of the development and promotion of clay and pottery, and to promote and sell the work of local clay artists and potters.
