Carmel Church

Considered the oldest Presbyterian Church in the Historic Pendleton District, this church traces its formation to the mid 1700s. The present church was completed in 1856 and built with handmade bricks. It had a slave gallery with its own side entrance. The adjacent cemetery has head stones dating to the 1840s.
