Children's Day On The Farm
Olde English District
Spring time brings new-born lambs to the farm at Historic Brattonsville. Children’s Day on the Farm on March 22 is the time to bring out the family and enjoy all the outdoor goodness that the 775-acre plantation has to offer. Focusing on farm life in the 18th and 19th centuries, the living history museum will offer a sundry of hands-on activities with toys, games, candle making, blacksmith demonstrations, and more. Bring the kids on out for this one-day event that features a 4-H petting zoo, pony rides, tractor-drawn wagon rides, and family-friendly foods. A team of plow horses will be working out in the field!
This year’s event will feature professional story teller Tim Lowery who will tell stories about the past to children of all ages. Children's author Sheila Ingle will be signing her book “Fearless Martha.”
