The Lexington County Peach Festival is an all-day celebration held on July 4th, at the Gilbert Community Park in Gilbert, SC. The festival has been an Independence Day tradition in the midlands of S.C. for 60 years.
Join us as we celebrate the USA with the "queen of fruits," the peach. With fun events such as the parade, the fire works, Peach Queen pageants, Peachy Recipe contest, and entertainment on stages in the park, the Peach Festival is sure to put a smile on your face!
The Festival officially begins with the parade at 9:30 a.m. Stay all day at the Festival with plenty to see and do and close your day with the exciting fireworks show at 10 p.m. Arts & craft vendors, including children’s rides, line Rikard Circle around the park for the entire day.
In addition to Peach Queen pageants, other fun and exciting events, include the Peach Festival Car Show, an Antique Tractor & Farm Equipment Exhibit, a Revolutionary War re-enactment, reading of the Declaration of Independence, the Peach Festival Volleyball Tournament, and much more to enjoy throughout the day.
Available for purchase throughout the park will be BBQ pork sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken and pork plates. Try delicious fresh peaches, peach ice cream, peach slush, peach tea, peach parfaits, peach cobbler, peach sundaes, peach almond delights, peach ice cream bar, soft drinks, bottled water, sweet tea, and peach berry split.
