If your mountain vacation dreams have you snoozing in a cozy cabin in the woods, Pickens has you covered. Prefer a modern golf resort with views of the mountains? Pickens has that, too. Or maybe you want to sleep under the stars in a more natural setting.

Whatever your lodging preferences, you’re sure to find the perfect spot to rest up and relax in Pickens.

Here are a few of the choices:

Table Rock State Park – The ultimate woodlands retreat, Table Rock State Park offers some awesome lodging choices—historic cabins or woodsy campsites. Two camping areas offer 94 sites, each with water and electrical hookups, a picnic table and a fire ring. The primitive Pine Point camping area features an additional six sites for tent campers only.

For those who prefer a little more separation from Mother Nature, Table Rock offers 14 historic one-, two- and three-bedroom cabins updated with modern conveniences, including a microwave, stove and refrigerator. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Depression in the classic “parkitecture” style, the charming cabins feature hand-hewn beams, heart of pine floors, a screened porch and fireplace.

Laurel Mountain Inn – If you plan on spending lots of time at Table Rock State Park, this motel is another great option. It’s located across the street from the park and offers comfortable, well-furnished rooms equipped with refrigerator, microwave, TV and wireless internet access. Rooms feature a king or two full-size beds.

April Valley RV Park – This adult-only (45 years of age and older) gated campground features 18 spacious sites with full hookups, along with laundry and bathroom facilities and a game room with pool table, dartboard and poker table. A fishing pond is available for registered guests.

The Rock Golf Course & Resort – Set at the base of Pinnacle Mountain, this 500-acre resort is best known for its recently renovated 18-hole golf course, named No. 3 among the Top Most Improved Golf Courses in the USA by Golf Advisor in 2018. The resort also features a restaurant and bar and the picturesque Gauley Falls, located at the 8th fairway.

Guests of the resort receive one free round of golf for up to four people each day of their stay. All of the two-story, pet-friendly rental condos feature two bedrooms and two and a half baths. Visitors who appreciate luxury amenities will enjoy the master suite’s Jacuzzi tub—and everyone will love the spectacular mountain vistas.
