Pawleys Island is a beach community with several real estate companies handling the majority of the bookings. Two of the primary rental agencies are Pawleys Island Realty and Lachicotte. Some houses and condos also are rented by owners or through one of the online companies, such as VRBO.

The Pelican Inn was constructed in the 1840s and is one of the original houses remaining on Pawleys Island. This bed & breakfast offers eight rooms that will accommodate a family of four with shared or private baths. Rates include a full, family-style breakfast and lunch for two people.
For a one-of-a-kind experience, stay at the Sea View Inn, a small, 20-room inn on the beachfront that has operated since 1937 and offers a variety of accommodations, from cottages to oceanfront rooms. Note: Credit cards are not accepted. Summer reservations are by the week, from Saturday to Saturday.
Crooked Tree Cottage is a three-bedroom B&B off-island, self-described as “shabby chic.”
