Nestled amid the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Eagle Mountain Winery stands as a testament to the world of wine. Located on Highway 11 in Travelers Rest, the winery offers an experience reminiscent of Napa Valley.
Since its inception in 2021, the establishment has been attracting visitors with its fine wines, beautiful grounds and surplus of events and activities—all of which are infused with Southern hospitality.
While the winery’s 40-acre site was chosen for its elevation and soil structure to grow and produce Vinifera wines, the winery itself was designed to include a barrel room and lab for visitors to take classes in wine blending and a wine tasting area to gather for food and wine pairing events.
While here, guests can also savor their wine around one of many outdoor fire pits, play a delightful game of bocce ball or stroll around the premises.
On the weekends, Eagle Mountain Winery comes alive with "Music on the Mountain" concerts featuring a diverse range of performers from jazz to country melodies.
For outdoor and art enthusiasts, the winery grounds also feature several miles of scenic walking trails and a sculpture garden, called Sculpture Park at Eagle Mountain, which showcases the work of Southern artists set in a landscaped natural setting.
The park is free and open from noon to 6 p.m. daily (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).
Ongoing plans for the winery include the opening of a Southern-inspired bistro dubbed Cork & Barrel on the property. It will serve farm-to-table eats that complement the Eagle Mountain wines and is set to open in late 2024.
