When it comes to shopping and dining, you've got some interesting options in Dillon.

Grab some cash at a local ATM (credit cards aren't accepted) and pop into Hodges Bar-B-Q Grill for some delicious Southern cuisine. This family-run restaurant has been in business since December 1946 and is one of Dillon County’s oldest business landmarks. Customers rave about the juicy hamburger steaks, crispy fried chicken, tender roast beef and hot hush puppies. Experience the great service, food and budget-friendly delights for yourself.

Another local favorite is Papa Tom’s Drive-In Restaurant, offering good, old-fashioned, home-cooked meals with outdoor seating and take-out service. It’s been considered a Dillon hidden gem since 1987 and has been part of the town history for years. Top picks on the menu include the hamburger steak with onions and gravy, bacon cheeseburger with fries, seafood platter or classic hot dog.

Take a 10-minute drive to Latta to try Shuler’s BBQ. Fans of this iconic dining spot travel more than 100 miles to chow down on barbecue covered in the famous in-house sauce created by Shuler Hughes himself. Biscuits are freshly baked every morning and the barbecue is cooked low and slow over wood coals. Try the all-you-can-eat buffet and eat till ya hurt! After a tasty meal, visit the general store and check out the wide assortment of Shuler’s gear and food products, including pork rinds and skins. Have a sweet tooth? Bring home one of Sweet Lorraine’s baked goods featuring such favorites as cakes and cinnamon rolls. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong.

Need vacation supplies? Take a ride out to Pedro’s Myrtle Beach Shop. It’s the perfect place to stock up on necessities or purchase last-minute souvenirs. Along with the traditional souvenir shot glasses, there are coffee cups, wind chimes, flamingo-themed items and fishing gifts. Swim suits, beach balls, beach bags, sunglasses, water guns, beach towels, sunscreen, sundresses, hats, sandals and flip flops also can be found in this one-stop-shop. But wait, there’s more! The store's extensive inventory includes a selection of Mexican pottery, tchotchkes, jewelry, wall hangings and stuffed animals.

We all could use some time in the outdoors. Head over to the local Feed & Farm Store Inc. for hardware, gardening products and locally grown honey. Whether you’re looking to create your own garden or beautify your porch, Feed & Farm Store Inc. will have everything you need to start and finish the project.

Conveniently located in the Dillon Plaza shopping center off Radford Boulevard is Hibbett Sports. This shop makes it easy to step up your game, show off your favorite brand of apparel and find the sports equipment that's the best fit for you.
