“Swamp Cabbage” is nickname given to the heart of the young Sabal Palmetto, the state tree of South Carolina. Beers available at locations in Columbia. Opened December 2015, Carolina Bauernhaus Ales, Anderson’s first and only craft brewery, creates handcrafted ales that reflect and pay homage to the rich agricultural resources of Upstate South Carolina by using locally sourced malt, grains, yeast and hops. While our brewing techniques may be Belgian inspired, our beers are not reverent to tradition. We strive to create a family of unique beers that range from approachable saisons to challenging barrel aged sour beers. We are located at 115 W.
