At just 2.5 square miles, Sullivan’s Island offers easy access to its beautiful beaches no matter where you stay on the island. With no hotels or B&Bs available inside the town limits, you’ll need to book your accommodations with one of the vacation rental companies in the area.

Island Realty and Beachside Vacations offer a variety of homes with three to five bedrooms, some of them on the ocean. If you’re looking for unique lodging, the inventory of homes includes an 1860 house with its original wood flooring and paneling and a 1935 five-bedroom also featuring original woodwork.

Most of the vacation rental homes feature covered porches to enjoy the salty sea breezes coming off the ocean. It’s the perfect place to chill with a bowl of boiled peanuts and a good book.

You’ll find more vacation rental options on nearby Isle of Palms, located just over the Breach Inlet bridge. This stretch of seashore also features two hotels—Seaside Inn and The Palms Oceanfront Hotel
